Automatic Noodle by Annalee Newitz I loved this story of 4 robots starting a noodle shop in an independent California 2064 to cover their debts and avoid being sold off in slavery in America. It's a novella, so the author didn't deep dive into the many issues at play, but that fine. She didn't need to. If you need someone to explain the parallels from this story to the lives of African Americans or immigrants in this county at any time post Civil War you need to be reading history books, not sci-fi.
