Gratitude Had to go to the ER yesterday night. All seems fine now, luckily. I'm very grateful for all the emergency medical staff that treated me yesterday. Never thought my first ER visit would be here. Talked lots to my partner on the phone today (as we usually do), that helped me feel normal again. She's the absolute best and I can't wait to be by her side again. A few weeks ago in a podcast I heard this sentence: "If something means everything to you it is like the air you breathe, but also like the noose around your neck." I don't remember who this quote was attributed to, but it stuck with me. Why am I here? Because I thought that doing science means everything to me. Is that still true? These days I'm not so sure.
