Cold Brew

Submitted the first paper in my postdoc recently, a technical
publication about a simulation program I've worked on. The process
of acutally publishing this software was quite interesting - I
collaborated with the IP office of my employer on working out the
licensing details. It came out as a BSD-type license which I'm
quite happy about. The paper is currently being peer-reviewes and
I should get the reviewer comments soon. Hope they're not too tough!

My experimental work is also coming to a nice close. I think I have
the analysis and interpretation nailed down. Will present it in
our lab meeting in a week and a half, let's see what the others
say. Hopefully this apper can also be written rather quickly and
then goes through nicely as well.

As my postdoc is coming to an end I have of course thought about
what kind of positions to switch into, and it seems like I may get
a good position back in my hometown again. This would be fantastic
as it'd enable me to be back with my partner. Let's hope it all
works out.

About the title: cold brew is probably my favorite coffee beverage.
Writing this while sitting on my porch sipping on of that delicious
marvel.
