I guess I'm going to be *that* guy but I honestly hope that FIFA
learns to never have a World Cup in the USA again.

Much like the Olympics, the FIFA organization is a corrupt "athletics"
body that promises host cities and countries all sorts of positive
sounding economic benefits for holding their sports tournaments.

But that crap is all lies and bullshit. FIFA gets the cash and the
tournament host cities and their tax-paying citizens get left
holding the bag.

If authoritarian-run developing countries want to show off to the
world how accomadating they are to corrupt global sports
organizations...I say let them host this shit all the time.

America doesn't need FIFA or the Olympics bankrupting our cities
and generally causing a miserable time for all the host city local
citizens.
