motion is the only solace in "dark messiah." survival horror in my life is not comparable to the gun-toting games like "resident evil." i am not interested in those games. neither am i interested in "clocktower." the interruption of monsters in those games is comforting and dull. in "dark messiah" i am constantly moving. puzzles are secondary to moving and there is no way to fight back effectively. more later.. rites of passage, gates of fire, my camper whose name is also ross prodded me about finding adults boring sometimes. he asked if i ever sit with the other counselors at lunch. i said yes, but sometimes i find them boring. he asked me if i find [specific antics of an athletic counselor] boring. i said yes. ross is curious and prodding because he knows what it's like to feel old before one's time. his mother's paralyzed. he's seen too much on the internet. he's 13 years old, and never boring.
