there are plenty of boring sites on gopherspace and then a bunch of 
totally insane sites. the ones i'm interested are somewhere in between.

i'm thinking of making a directory of all sites with journals or 
journal-like spaces. i've looked at most of the results for a "journal" or 
"phlog" search on veronica. many are technical so they aren't often of 
direct interest to me. but i still would like to make note of them, partly 
because there are so few.

it seems like during 2006 there was a resurgence in gopher journalling. 
i'm not sure whether to call it a resurgence or just a rise because i have 
no idea what gopherspace was originally like. 

i don't use the word "phlog" because i am tired of web2.0 catchphrase 
advertising. one of the reasons i am here is to escape those words.
