Scene 2

 Interior, The War Chamber, Night


 Characters:
 Aree, the Countess, the Emperor, Other members of the
War Cabinet, Several Servants

Intended:
As Aree enters the War Chamber, he learns that
he's not here in his capacity as healer, but
to be head of an interesting ploy.  Word has
come that the Imperial Army of the East has
been totally defeated.  So the Imperial Family
is going out to some safe place while the crisis
is solved.  He has to impersonate the Crown 
Prince, ruling the capital while His Imperial
Majesty is out, supposing leading a delaying
force against the Barbarians.  Countess Yesenas
will remain in the capital to be the "advisor"
to the "crown prince"

Evaluation
I'm judging this scene as "50/50". Rolling on my
"oracle", I get a "Yes, but"
And then, expanding the oracle on what this "but"
means I get:
- he set his gaze away from the horizon
- the goblin king placed the human pup to care for his kids
- a present

Outcome:
OK, first line, I can't see the Emperor
hiding in the palace as an answer to "he set his gaze..."
Instead, the Emperor thanks those who'll remain
but he doesn't hope to see them again. He isn't clear about
that. Either he doesn't expect them to actually 
successfuly defend the city, or doesn't expect to survive
himself, or posibbly both.

Equally, I can't imagine the emperor leaving his
children in the capital. So he's not the goblin king. Instead,
... hmm, this is hard! :D Wait, I'll say that this goblin
king is this new Goddess (see character-list.txt) who'll
charge Aree with the care of the city.

A present could be a present from the Goddess, but I'll
take it as a present from the Emperor to Aree, some badge
or token of command. In the end, he doesn't care really,
all he wants is to make time to escape, and so will most
members of the War Chamber, but the Countess.
