date: Mon 28 Jul 2025 10:16:34 PM PDT subj: fun times all day twins ------------------------------------------------------- Last Saturday (7/26/2025) I got to have the babes to myself. It was such a nice day I had to take them for a walk. So we did our morning thing which is me taking my time to get ready to leave for the day, I packed them up, got the bottles in the cooler, provisions for a stroller trip and headed out the door. My son was hungry so I set him up with a blanket in a way he could sip his bottle while strolling down the road. The babes had their hats and socks on to help protect from the sun. I wore my Australian hat and sun glasses. We ventured up the hill to the store to get some cilantro and a $1 half-caf coffee. At the store an older lady saw the twins and said I was blessed. While having little sleep during the week I often don't feel blessed but I guess I should take her word for it, she would know. So feeling blessed (and I really am at least lucky), the babes and I paid for our goods and left the store. Walking back I though it was just too soon to be back in inside again. We've all be in there enough this week, a little fresh air would change our thoughts so I decided to take a turn and walk away from our home. The babes and I strolled down the path enjoying the view. I told them all about books because mom was at book club. Books are one of the best escapes you can take. A nice science fiction book can take your imagination new places and give a mind new ideas. Of course the babes were intrigued but most at the change in scenery until the stroll put them to sleep. Five miles later we made it back home. Babes had a meal, and then went for a workout on the play mat. My son is getting better at holding up his head and looking around while on his tummy. My daughter skipped the workout due to just eating. After working out my son and I had a nice conversation of ooow and koooo, and whooooo. I love our little talks. He isn't one to like extreme faces like his sister. He likes chill faces and more singing and light touches on his legs, stomach, or arms. Just mellow stuff, but then he has something to say, and he seems very intent on saying whatever it is. --------------------------------- Monday (7/28/2025), he seems to enjoy a little walk in the baby pack. I load him up, and walking him around the house, but tonight I decided to carry my daughter with son in Bjorne pack and off for a walk around a couple blocks. It was nice, and after returning we all sang songs and continued our talk of oooow, kooo, whooo. My daughter loves to join in the conversations, and she gets really happy about whoooeey. Back and forth we all took turns saying what we needed to until it was time to cry of exhaustion. One bottle was not enough for him, but 3/4 of a bottle was enough for her. Eventually everyone went to sleep. I got to clean the kitchen, clean and sanitize used bottles, and make formula for the next day. I'll wake up tomorrow and repeat much of the work I did today.
