We took a drive to a one of the state parks. Loaded up the kids and headed out. Not with out regular incidents though. Our daughter had to expel all her food. A quick wipe down, loaded our vehicle and off to the park. It was such a beautiful day for a nice walk in the park. We strolled on through the old camp grounds, and saw the huge trees. My wife held our daughter in a wrap and I pushed our son in the stroller. We saw a nice spot setup for tic tac toe, and a big foot bird's nest in another campsite. We strolled along the path until we came upon an old tree with roots exposed that reminded us of a person running. I thought it was like the Imps from Lord Of The Rings. We stopped for a family photo. An older man walking his dog met us on the path and said "kids first hike?" We looked at each other and replied yes their first hike. We didn't really think of it as their fist hike before that. I pushed the stroller up the hill, but we found another spot for a photo. My wife got a nice photo of my son and I. He looked nice dressed up in his neat shirt. WE continued along until we left the campsites. The kids were getting hungry and fussy. We fed the kids but were attacked by mosquitoes so we decided to pack up everyone and drive home. We stopped to check out other sites in the area. Lots of people out there, and we dreamed and discussed things we want to do with our family over the next few years. I have the life I wanted. I know things change over time, but I hope we get to have nice experiences with our family. These two children might see more than I when they grow up, ... only if I'm lucky and only if I continue to work really hard. If those two things happen and the lords of compassion and god willing the kids will be OK, so will mom and dad. I love you family. :) <3
