date: Sun 15 Jun 2025 12:10:51 AM PDT subj: twins parents babies in bath ---------------------------------------------------------- Today was bath day. Bath time is the best time. Our daughter got to take a bath first. She is so calm in the warm water. She immediately relaxes and is ready to sleep. I tell her I'm going to wash her hair and make it nice. I scrub her little head with baby shampoo and she has her eyes closed and relaxes and I massage her scalp. After getting scrubbed down she gets to relax in the water and just enjoy the warmth of the water all around her. She falls asleep every so often gets startled by my movement. She throws her hands then they slowly fall, and she is sleeping again. She is the cutest thing in the world. My wife and I see how calm and relaxed she is and don't like to have her get out, but she has been in the water near a half hour. Our son behaves very similarly to her. His eyes closed and his body relaxed we can see his full length. Its nice to see him calm because the last few days he has been fussy. I wonder if he needs a bath more often. I'll try baths for them a few times a week to see if this helps them relax more. Seven weeks they have grown so much. Our boy is nearly doubled his mass since he came home. Both of them had good reports on their hips. They are eating more and sleeping more. No smiles while awake yet, we see them smile while sleeping and they are really cute when they smile. I can't wait for those smiles to happen. My son seems to like it when I read to him. Tonight I read a sample of John Brunner's Dangerous Visions. As I read to him he just looked at me. I don't think I'll read all of Dangerous Visions the babes, but I'll probably pick some sci-fi book to read. John Brunner's books are a little to close to the down side of our society's reality. I hope to get all of us out of the house this week for fresh air.
