This also defines the human "will" which is the final filter thru which all 
contemplated actions are tested before execution.

Conscience, the "understanding", is a prior filter.

Before the Garden of Eden humans did not have conscience or understanding, 
only will, which was implanted when God "breathed the breath of life" into 
this special receptacle the human.

Prior to that, there were millions of years during which organisms, and 
this planet upon which they reside, mutated into a condition which would 
support these consequent developments.

Nice, eh?

The much revered mind of man did not devise or create his autonomous 
nervous system, or his immune system, or really nothing whatsoever of real 
enduring significance.

It can be comforting to realize that pure random mutation is the a priori 
cause of everything. And it wasn't the mind of man which made it that way 
either.
