Massive Drama Highly Likely to Be Deleted It's tough being away from those we love. My wife and I decided to emigrate during the summer of 2025 when one of her kids was not talking to us for reasons I don't quite gather. We made the decision to emigrate, and when we had plans well underway (I had, for example, taken a second job) her kid announced that they were talking to her again, and that they were having a kid. Prior to this the same kid was not intending to have children. All this talking-to-you-not-talking-to-you drama is regrettable. I'm not here to judge. But basically we made our decision when none of our kids were looking to have kids, and after we had decided to emigrate we found out my wife was going to be a grandma. So that's dreadful. Now my wife is away from her grandchild while that child is growing up. But worse, that grandchild was placed in a daycare, and recently was physically abused in that daycare*. All sorts of chaos has ensued, from police reports and hospital visits, to needing emergency childcare. My wife is distraught and riddled with guilt. She wishes she could be there to help, and feels guilty for being away. Cherry on top, my wife divorced because her ex had been cheating on her for a long time. The ex married the homewrecker, who has been slowly inveigling herself into the family. Now when an emergency babysitter is required, who is available? That's right, the homewrecker. And since my wife's kids are renting the house my wife owns... the homewrecker is watching my wife's grandkid, in my wife's own house. Just a bit fraught! *The child seems fine now.
