ZOOM! ZOOM! We've been here three months! ZOOM! I haven't phlogged in four days! ZOOM! Our two week break is done, and Portguese A.1 class begins today! Time is ROCKETING past! If my guess is correct, it's not going to slow down, either. Starting today I have the "Cut the Mustard" Portguese in-person class with Sara on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Joy will also be in attenance. Sara is a delightful teacher and it's a pleasure to take her classes. On Wednesdays I will have an online class of the same level - Portuguese A.1 Between the two classes I'm trying hard to study ahead of the online class, because that teacher, Mafalda, has a completely different style and often calls on students to spontaneously utter Portuguese phrases, sentences, and paragraphs. Last week it worked for me to study ahead - when she called on me to describe the contents of a room in Portuguese, I'd already written out a full paragraph description of a room and I could read from that. Also I'm working on keeping my accent in top condition in that class, because so many of my classmates are still stammering with strictly American phonetics and I don't want to sound as awful as that. Oop, breakfast, or "pequenho almoco" (little lunch) is ready! Then it's off to class! L8R!
