Migraine AGAIN? UGH this is such BULLSHIT. Another morning wasted to a migraine, and I'm lucky it broke early enough for me to have an afternoon and evening. I went off caffeine more than a week ago and immediately experienced a migraine which I attributed to caffeine withdrawal. And maybe this one was too? Who the heck knows. Last night Joy and I watched a 'Lucy Worsley Investigates' about the Black Death and it was sad to picture the peasants working their fields while reports of the Plague grew ever closer, having no idea what it was that caused the disease in order to avoid it. Well, it ain't armpits full of buboes but I feel the same way about the migraines. I thought "Ooh, I'll retire and the reduced stress will stop them." Then "When we're done moving, THAT reduction in stress will stop them." Then it was "lose weight, get exercise" (I'm down 25 lbs from my peak) then "cut out caffeine." Shrug. I dunno man. Ticking me off. Yesterday WAS stupid hot, and we had to go to grocery store, but why that would cause me to start a migraine at 5 a.m. the next day I do not know. One of my to-do's for today? Start lining up a local GP. Sidelined by migraine, maybe tomorrow.
