Migraines Ugh. When did I become A Person Who Has Migraines? Okay, all my life. When I was a kid I got them from glare. At least that's what I thought. But if I had two migraines a year it was a lot. And then I think it was a long time I didn't really have any. But in the last decade I've had a lot, and they get worse. I have them about once a month and they last about eight hours. I got one yesterday at about 3:00 pm and it lasted until after midnight when I finally fell asleep despite the pain. Not fun. Mine manifest behind and below my left ear. Always the same place. It feels like something just knots up tighter and tighter and my blood pressure climbs. Today I'm drifting around in a post-migraine daze, anxious that another is going to start, hoping I get another month in between. Not sure what to do. Google searches about migraines don't seem to offer much hope. I've tried magnesium supplements. I try wearing sunglasses to reduce glare. Shrug. Welcome to getting older I guess?
