Recliners Oh man, retirement is great. Particularly now that we have recliners. I've spent two days this week seated in a recliner for the majority of the day, editing photos or just playing Nethack 5.0. This thing where I can do WHATEVER I WANT and nobody's got a thing to say about it? Awesome! Yesterday was a busy day - Joy and I climbed the hill to Forte de Sao Filipe for the first time. The climb was fine for me, and doable for Joy. She had both her knees replaced last year during months starting with A. It was right before the second surgery that we made what we call The Hard Left Turn and decided to emigrate to Portugal, so that's just about a year now. In April of last year Joy couldn't walk from a grocery store entrance to the car waiting at the curb. Yesterday she climbed a kilometer-long hill to the top of a fortress. Woot! What an achivement. After getting home and resting we went out to the The Little Fox, a bar that we'd been assured was an expat hangout. So we didn't get home til late. Today we went grocery shopping at Pingo Doce in the morning, and then I just sat around editing photos. Very nice!
