Deliveries Things proceed swimmingly here in Setubal! The weather continues to be perfect. We are VERY SLOWLY settling into our new place. Today a bunch of couches got delivered. They are a bit more "dentist's office" than "cozy living room" than expected but at least we HAVE them. We STILL don't have our refrigerator, which is scheduled for tomorrow. The same place where we bought that, Wortens, listed our air conditioner and fans as "delivered" when we have never set eye on them, making it difficult to get our money back. Quite the racket - offer to deliver something say you did it, keep it, sell it again, and keep the money. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but my wife is calling Worten's "Portugal's Best Buy" and that is even more harsh! But those things aside we're still having a delightful time. I am typing on a table for a change and sitting in a chair to do so. This is a big upgrade from sitting on a mattress on the floor with a very hot laptop in my lap. I have begun editing the photos from my big photoshoot right before we departed. Three models painted in gold "kintsugi" style. I did the male model first because he had the most images to process but was also the easiest. Michelle is a little more challenging, but my lighting for Kat was quite ambitious, and so her images are the most challening to process. It's delightful to have nothing to do but process the pictures. I don't have to work, I don't have to do anything I don't want to. Retirement is GREAT. Tomorrow we're supposed to get 1) our fridge and 2) Internet, and if both those things happen it will be a red-letter day around here. Once I have the Internet I can resume studying my Michel Thomas Portuguese (which is on my Plex server). I'm rambling - more later!
