Fun fact: if you don't patch the
protection check on side 2 -- or if you
patch it but fail to patch the anti-
tamper check that ensures that you
haven't patched the protection check --
the game will still let you play. But
when you ENTER LOG CABIN and PULL HORNS
to enter the secret annex to obtain the
wizard's cloak and cross, the game will
simply say "It wobbles." No access to
the secret annex means no chance to get
the cross, no way to kill the vampire,
no way to get the ring, and the game is
unwinnable.
