The .I red, green blue and .I alpha arguments are numbers between 0 and 255. .I Green and .I blue default equal to .I red. .I Alpha defaults to 255. Option .B -c specifies the .B CHAN= attribute of the picture file. The default is .BR CHAN=m , .BR CHAN=ma , .BR CHAN=rgb , or .B CHAN=rgba depending on which of .I red, green blue and .I alpha are specified. .PP .I Ramp creates a picture file whose pixel values range from .I leftcolor to .I rightcolor across each scan line, writing on standard output. .I Leftcolor defaults to 0; .I rightcolor defaults to 255. If three arguments are given for .I leftcolor and .I rightcolor the output will have .BR CHAN=rgb . Otherwise, it will have .BR CHAN=m . .PP Option .B -v causes .I ramp to make a vertical ramp .RI ( leftcolor at the top, .I rightcolor at the bottom). .PP For both commands, option .B -w specifies the size of the picture.
