this menuing system should be pretty much self-explanatory - many of the programs that run from it are not, however. most will give you some sort of menu by typing '?' or 'help'. the RT conferencing system will give you a menu with '/i'. some programs don't have obvious exit commands.. for these, typing ctl-d, Unix's EOF character, or delete (break), the interrupt character, will get you out. if you have any further questions, just mail or write iczer. your TERM variable is by default set to vt100, and it's reccomended that you use it if at all possible. ansi will sometimes be compatible with it, and sometimes not. most any term is supported in unix termcap, though, so if you must use something else, exit to the shell and type TERM=whatever to change it (and set it in your .profile if you want it to be permanent). if you decide you don't want to use the menu script, simply edit it from the .profile in your directory.
