        A Terminal - in computer jargon - is an input device.
        It generally consists of some type of keyboard (numeric,
alphabetic, or both), and some type of display (ranging from paper,
to a CRT screen, to an LED display such as you might find on a
calculator).  It allows you, with the proper connections, to
communicate with a computer.  Thus, you used some sort of terminal
when requesting HELP on TERMINAL.

        If you need HELP in establishing communications between your
terminal and Locke Computer, here are a few hints:
                a) your terminal MUST transmit ASCII encoded characters
                b) you will usually need an RS232C cable to connect
        your terminal to the modem (or to the cable jack if 'hardwired')
                c) you will usually need 'full duplex' on (or you
        can give the monitor command 'set tty no echo' when connected)
                d) if you're running at 300 baud (bits per second)
        or above, you need to send 8 data bits (7 for the ASCII
        character, and 1 for parity - parity is ignored, but must
        be present), 1 start bit, and 1 stop bit (for 10 bits total)
        If you're running at below 300 baud, add an extra stop bit.
                e) your terminal must be 'on line'
                f) if you are using a modem, see HELP PHONES for the
        appropriate phone number (or look in the user's guide)
                g) if you have any difficulty, call a consultant
