Iverson. Subscribers are sent copies of the externals when they are released or updated. They are encouraged to share them with others. How do I subscribe? =================== To subscribe to X-List send a message to with "X-List" in the subject or body of the message. Where are X-List files? ======================= At the present time there is no archive of X-List files, however, we are working on securing an anonymous ftp site to store them. To get files previously released through X-List, just send a request to with the names of the files you want. What files are available? ========================= Following are the files currently available via X-List: AutoKeyRate XCMD 1.0 Performs the same function as the keyboard control panel for setting the key repeat rate and key repeat threshhold. GetCurApp XFCN 1.0 Returns the full pathname of the currently running application. Especially useful for environments other than HyperCard. GetCurOS XFCN 1.0 Returns the name of the currently running OS. At present values are 'A/UX' or 'MacOS'. GetSIZE XFCN 1.0 Returns the suggested and minimum RAM requirements (as set in the SIZE resource) of an application. Informant XFCN 1.2 Returns information about the Macintosh internals by using the Gestalt Manager. ItemsToLines XFCN 1.0 Given a list of items and an optional itemDelimiter as parameters, it returns the items as character delimited. Very fast! SetCursorVisible XCMD 1.0 Allows the cursor to be hidden and shown with greater control. SetMouseLoc XCMD 1.0 Allows the location of the screen pointer (the mouseloc) to be set to any coordinates on the screen. SoundVol XCMD 1.0 Allows the volume level to be set. SpeechMASTER XCMD 1.0 Comprehensive control of the Speech Manager. Allows multiple voices, channels, and text chunks, plus voice modifications on the fly, and all done asynchronously.
