I've never partake in a blog challenge so lets see how it works out. <== When did you first get interested in technology? ==> I can't remember a time when I was not interested in technology. In fact my mother told me the story that I sawed up our rotary dial telephone to see what's in this magic thing when I was a very young boy (no joke!). But I was always interested in these things like digital watches and digital calculators and such. Nothing special, it just had to be an electronic gadget. <== Whats your favorite piece of technology of all time? ==> This is clearly my first Commodore 64 with a floppy drive. I learned to program it in assembler and did some pretty good demos for the demo scene, although I couldn't compete with the demo scene wizards who did (and still do I recently got to know) really amazing things with the Commodore. But the Commodore 64 was my first real contact with electronic devices which I could play around with and I learned a lot of things. We swapped floppy disks by mail for pirating games and exchange the latest demos and it was a really fun time. <== What's your favorite piece of technology right now? ==> At the moment I'm mostly working with my Tuxedo InfinityBook Pro 15 - Gen 9 AMD. It's nothing special like some of the appliances or gadgets other people write as their favorite, but I really like working with it. It's pretty modern, I bought it in November'24 and I'm using it nearly daily since. For going outdoors I have my Lenovo ThinkPad T460s which I also like a lot. The model is from 2016 and I bought it in 2021 I believe. I don't want to take my Tuxedo for outdoor adventures, although it has much better specs. <== Name one cool piece of technology we'll have in 25 years ==> That's really a tough one because I'm not good at predicting the future. I hope that we'll make great progress in medicine and hopefully can cure cancer and other very bad diseases in the future. Maybe also fusion reactors, which will reduce CO2 emissions and help reducing climate change. But if I should come up with one special gadget we'll have it'll maybe be flying cars or something like that. <== Like moddedbear I challenge all of you too ==> It would be fun to read your answers to these questions, so if you like to participate in this challenge please do! All in all - Have fun! -fab- [1]: gemini://moddedbear.xyz/logs/2025-04-19-blog-questions-challenge-technology-edition.gmi
