RENUM.100 Rich Young 01/86 CLUB 100 Library - 415/939-1246 BBS, 937-5039 NEWSLETTER, 932-8856 VOICE Utility to renumber BASIC .DO files. RENUM requires that THEN, ELSE, GOTO, GOSUB, RESTORE, RESUME, ERL=, RUN, LIST and EDIT be in uppercase. Best thing is to have loaded and then saved the program from BASIC prior to renumbering. Instructions that have been commented or are in DATA statements are not excluded from the runumbering process. RENUM prompts for file name, new starting number and increment. Defaults are start at 0 and increment by 1. RENUM is new and slow. It can't renumber programs that branch to a variable. i.e. 10 GOTO A. RENUM requires enough memory for the file to be copied. The renumbered program name is your program name with the letter "N" added to the front. INPUTS: File? YOURPG.DO Starting? 10 Increment? 10 OUTPUT: NYOURP.DO Errors: UL - A branch in your program references an undefined line. Line number prints prior to message. LS - A line has become too long since the label sizes were increased.
