PAINT Graphic AND Text Drawing Program by DAve Stewart This program is PUBLIC DOMAIN, written by me for Club 100, the Tandy Model 102 (100) club. No fees may be charged for this program. This program MAY be freely copied and traded. PAINT is a dandy little graphic (CAD) which has many features found only on desktop computers. It'll run on minimal RAM and is just down right FUN to use. GRAPHIC MODE (Num Lock ON) The program starts off in GRAPHIC MODE. Switching between Graphic and Text mode is accomplished by hitting the ESC key. In Graphic mode, the cursor is a one pixel dot. In Text mode, the cursor is a non-destructive blinking block. Graphic Mode Movement: 1 2 3 Q W E 4 5 6 A S D 7 8 9 Z X C Movement is with the Numeric Key Pad (so turn ON Num Lock). Movement is in relation to the five (5). The 4 is to the left of the 5, so if you hit 4 the pixel will move left. 1 up/left 2 up 3 up/rt 4 left 5 not used 6 right 7 dn/left 8 down 9 dn/right The QWE ASD ZXC keys move the cursor TO the corresponding area of the screen. Q moves the cursor TO the top left of the screen. W to the top middle, E to the top right, A to the left middle, S to center screen, D to right center, z to bottom left, x to bottom center, and C to bottom right. Drawing SQUARES, BOXES, AND LINES Move the pixel where you want the 1st corner of the block or 1st end of the line. Press F1 to lock it. You'll hear an audible tone. Move the pixel where you want the 2nd corner of the block or 2nd end of the line. Press F2 to lock it. Then: F3 = draw line F4 = erase line F5 = draw UNfilled Box F6 = erases UNfilled Box F7 = FILLED Box F8 = erases FILLED Box The STEP or number of movements of the cursor when you press the numeric movement keys can be changed in the GRAPHIC mode by pressing the ARROW keys. left arrow - decrease by 1 rght arrow - increase by 1 up arrow - increase by 10 down arrow - decrease by 10 Minimum is 1, max is 20 pixels per move. To ERASE set the left & right corners (F1 & F2) and then F8. TEXT MODE INSTRUCTIONS (Num Lock OFFO Hit ESC to switch back and forth from text to graphic. Turn OFF the Num Lock when in Text Mode. Movement has now changed. Movement is according to the ARROW keys. Up is up, left is left, etc. Arrows move NON-destructively. Entering text or Graphic Characters places them where the cursor is. You MAY use the code & graph keys to print All pre-made graphic Pictures. F1 is NORMAL video F2 is INVERSE video In the Graphic Mode I did not use the 5 or 0 movemnt keys. I may add circles to the 0 key and something else later. If so, I'll publish the new line(s). F3-F8 are unused in the Text Mode, reserved for future editions too! I hope that you find this program enjoyable. DAve Stewart
