MINEZ.100 (C) Copyright 1988 by Max Pandaemonium All Rights Reserved. MINEZ is a game where the player tries to score as many points as possible. The player's ship (represented as a left arrow) slowly moves across the screen from right to left. As it goes, the player can control its vertical movement with the Q and A keys: The Q key causes the ship to move up, and the A key causes it to move down. Once the player's ship gets to the left edge of the screen, the player scores a small bonus and moves on to the next level. There are various obstacles and treasures on the screen. The chief obstacles are asterisks and walls; if the player hits one, he loses that ship and starts again at the same level. Treasures are symbolized by - and +; the + scores more points than the -. Occasionally, the player will find letters on the screen. The five letters are E, X, T, R, and A. If you get all of these, you score a bonus and must try to get them again. Your progress is showed in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Every five levels, there is a bonus level; you must maneuver to the one passage or eventually crash. A bonus ship is scored every 20,000 points. If your score should exceed one million points, the computer beeps and your score "rolls over" to 0 again.
