This is the DO file (instructions, and info) pertaining to DOS.BA. Written by Tom Woodhead. First a little bit about the programer. I am a high school student, who enjoys programing. I first started programing in basic on a PET computer, then I moved on to a TRS-80 model 1 personal computer, from their I went on to a CoCo ( color computer). Finally after getting fed-up with Radio Shacks incompedent staff, I had no choice but to go to a MS-DOS machine. I used the DOS machine for about 1 year then I discovered that I needed a portable. I was overwhelmed by the choices. Cost was my main concern. I purchased a Laser Pc3 it had built in software but only a 20*2 line LCD display (display?). After extended periods of use I was tired of scroling around that tiny screen. So then I turned to the TRS-80 model 100, it was perfect. And Club 100 was great! You couldn't ask for better support for a machine. Anyway back to the program. When I got my TRS-80 model 100 I found that it's commands were totally different from my DOS machine. So I set out to write a BASIC program to replace the 100's commands with the one's for MS-DOS (some of them anyway). DIR Get a directory of all the files in memory. DEL Delete files. ie in MS-DOS to delete a file called c:\vga.ba you would type del c:\vga.ba . With this one you would type DEL the program would give you a list (DIR) of files and then you would enter the name of the file(s) to delete. RENAME Just type rename then the program will give you a dir of files, just follow the prompts. CLS Clears the screen. WORKS Exits to main menu. A: Receives data from the RS-232 port. (8n1e). Note: I don't mind if you modify this program and re upload it, in fact it would be great. Any feedback that you can supply would be great! In the mean time I'll keep working on this program, along with others..
