Here is where you change information about yourself (name,
address, password, etc.) as well as about your terminal program.

Fido will remember these settings each time you log in.

* Enter "N?" for help with the N)ame command
* Enter "P?" for help with the P)assword command
.
.
* And so on for all the commands you see in the menu.

(Don't enter the quotes, just the command letter and the
questionmark.)

\N
N)ame. Enter a new Name, up to 3 words; you may now enter a
middle name or initial with your first and last names. Fido
checks that the name you select isn't already in the caller
database.

\A
A)ddress. Enter a new Address (max. - 35 characters.); minimum is
the City, State from which you are calling.

\P
P)assword. Enter a new one-word Password; use 4 or more
characters.

\H
H)elp-level. Enter a new Help level; there are three levels of
help. When you first log in, you get LEVEL 3.

LEVEL 3: FULL HELP. All prompts show the full command names;
various commands display information as you use them; in general,
Fido is more "wordy".

LEVEL 2: SOME HELP. Prompts show only the first letter of each
command; Fido is a lot less "wordy", but you are still prompted
for each item needed.

LEVEL 1: NO HELP. Prompts are single, unhelpful prompts, such as:
"Command (?=help: )" . It is assumed you that understand Fido
completely.

\C
Columns. Set the number of characters your screen can show on one
line. Fido initially assumes that you have 80 columns.

\L
L)ines. Set you Screen Lines in lines. Fido initially assumes
your screen has 24 lines.

Normally, Fido pauses every screenful when displaying text and
prompts "More[Y,n]"; you can press "Y" or [CR] to continue, "N"
or Control-C to stop.

To disable this, set L)ines to 0.

\I
I)nterface. If other languages or interfaces are available,
prompts you to choose one.

\F
F)iller-Nulls. Prompts you for the number of null characters
(ASCII 0 decimal) that your terminal program needs after each new
line. Fido initially assumes none needed.

This is needed only for very special cases; if you are
consistently missing text at the left edge of your screen, try
changing this value.
