Hi gang,
--------

This file accompanies the VECTOR package, for listing the 8086 Interrupt
vector addresses to screen. The output is redirectable to any other device.

VECTOR version 2 was made with the A86 4.02 assembler under DR-DOS 6.02.
If other DOS environments report errors, please let me know via
aklasse@bigfoot.com.

Using the software.
-------------------

  Using it is quite straightforward:

VECTOR <Enter> will show the "help" screen.

 VECTOR 01 - 05 will produce the following output (under DR-DOS 6.02
                        with my configuration):

 Int Segment:Offset
 --- ---- ----
 00 6059:0739
 01 0070:0005
 02 6059:0768
 03 0070:0005
 04 0070:0005
 05 F000:FF54

Thank you for using this software. Have a nice day.

VECTOR 01C = 020:0F011 will produce the following output:

 Int Segment:Offset
 --- ---- ----
 1C 0020:F011

Thank you for using this software. Have a nice day.

Whereby the INT 1Ch vector gets a new address to point to. Take care with this
assignment option. It is lmost sure to crash your system with it, unless used
with great care.

The parameters that you have to enter can be in decimal or in hexadecimal. If
the number starts with a "0", then that number is considered to be hex.
Hex and decimal may be mixed at will, as shown in the last example.

Re-assembling the source.
-------------------------

Please feel free to improve or adapt the software for your own particular
needs. Take care however, that you may NOT distribute modified packages under
the old name. If you modify any part of the source, make a note of it and make
sure that all users are aware of it.

If re-assembling, take care that the A86 assembler is used, since most other
assemblers are not compatible to this one.

How to show your gratitude.
---------------------------

If you feel obliged to show your gratitude, please do one of the following:

 - send a postcard from your town to:

        Netherlands

 - send an E-mail to:

        aklasse@bigfoot.com

The postcard is prefered.

I have tried the shareware approach in earlier programs, but that just
doesn't work (anymore?). Therefore I have adopted the GNU GPL approach and
since then I produce FREE SOFTWARE. Please read the GNU General Public License
which is also included in this file.

Still, all copyrights remain with me, the original author.

Bye for now,
