VideoLabs Announces VideoShot capture device for portables & notebook

August 10, 1995 -- MINNEAPOLIS, MINN--VideoLabs, Inc. announced
"VideoShot," a palm-size, standalone frame grabber for notebook and
desktop PCs.

VideoShot is simple to install--plugging straight into the Parallel
Port--no need for the user to open their PC. This simple capture device
will also operate using three "AAA" batteries, capturing 500 true color
frames when working with notebooks.

VideoShot can capture and image at 640x480 resolution in 16 million colors
in 1/30th of a second. VideoShot is TWAIN compatible and works with all
available image-processing software including PhotoStudio, Photoshop,
Corel Draw and many others. For easy-to-use image editing, each VideoShot
ships with PhotoStudio software.

Video input is accomplished using VideoLabs' FlexCam, a Camcorder, a VCR or
any other video source. Input signal for VideoShot is both S-video and
composite. Depending upon the capabilities of the user's computer a
preview display rate of 8-12 frames per second is possible.

VideoShot frame grabber by VideoLabs is available for $229 (MSRP).
