UNISYS ANNOUNCES FIRST-DAY AVAILABILITY, WARRANTY AND BROAD-BASED SUPPORT
OPTIONS FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS 95

New Desktop Operating System Preloaded On PW2 Advantage Series PCs

Blue Bell, PA. August 24, 1995 -- Unisys Corporation today announced
first-day availability and start-up warranty support of Microsoft Windows
95 for its PW2 Advantage Series personal computers. Unisys also announced
a broad range of services - including new telephone support options - for
all Windows 95 customers, including those using other vendors' equipment.
The announcements further Unisys strategy to provide a comprehensive
solution for helping organizations efficiently migrate to Windows 95 and
support users as they begin to leverage the new operating system's many
powerful features.

In cooperation with Microsoft, Unisys has certified Windows 95 on its PW2
Advantage Series CWP (Client Workstation PCI) desktop personal
workstations and will pre-load Windows 95 as part of the Unisys
Build-To-Customer-Order (BTCO) manufacturing process. Unisys also is
providing out-of-the-box warranty support to help users who purchase
preloaded Unisys PW2 personal workstations get started using the new
operating environment.

In addition, Unisys is offering around-the-clock, fee-based telephone
support options to all Windows 95 customers. The new support options
include 1-800 and 1-900 lines for Windows 95 and special fixed-price "call
packs" for Windows 95 and other Microsoft operating systems. The new
support options enhance the Unisys Desktop Services program for managing
desktop assets and expand the broad range of services, including
electronic and on-site support, that Unisys -- as an accredited Microsoft
Authorized Support Center and a member of the Microsoft Windows 95 Launch
Support Team -- already provides for Microsoft's personal operating and
advanced systems products.

"We believe that Microsoft Windows 95 will become the premier mainstream
desktop operating environment. But given the complexities of today's
workplace and desktop environment, users will need extensive support to
capitalize on the full capabilities of this advanced environment," said
Vaughn G. Hysinger, vice president, marketing operations for the Unisys
Personal Computer Division. "Unisys is uniquely positioned with its PW2
desktop platform, BTCO manufacturing process, desktop services and broad
Microsoft technical expertise to help customers assess their current
desktop investments and make a smooth and sensible enterprise-wide
transition to the new operating system."

High-Performance, Factory Pre-Loaded Unisys Workstations

The Unisys PW2 Advantage Series CWP models are based on the Intel Pentium
processor, are Windows 95 certified and can be shipped with Windows 95
pre-loaded from the factory. Offered in 3-slot and 6-slot form factors,
CWP systems have been certified as Windows 95 plug and play compliant,
enabling customers to quickly and easily add upgrade options. The systems
feature a high-performance PCI local bus with built-in PCI disk controller
and PCI video controller supporting up to 1280 x 1024 resolution.
Processor speeds of 75, 90, 100, 120 MHz are available now; 133 MHz models
will be available in the near future. Plus, under its BTCO program, Unisys
will assemble desktop systems to meet custom specifications. The CWP
models are priced from U.S. $1,400 and are available now.

"Unisys has been working closely with Microsoft for over ten years. Since
then, the Unisys product line has expanded with a broad range of mobile,
desktop and server products," said Brad Chase, general manager of the
personal systems division at Microsoft. "We are pleased that Windows 95
will ship on the majority of Unisys systems and that Unisys will be
providing additional support options for all users of the new operating
environment."

Telephone Support Bolsters Leading Desktop Services Program

Unisys new Windows 95 support services are available to all users of the
new operating system, including home users. The services are available 24
hours a day, seven days a week on a "per incident" basis and via "call
packs" which enable users to purchase multiple support calls in advance, a
major benefit for planning and budgeting purposes. Unisys call packs also
include support for Novell NetWare and UnixWare, a feature of particular
importance to organizations integrating Windows 95 into existing Novell
based network environments.

"Our new Windows 95 telephone support services significantly enrich the
Unisys Desktop Services program, already one of the most comprehensive
available today," said Gerry Gagliardi, president, Unisys Global Customer
Services. "Unisys gives Windows 95 users a single point of contact for the
services, technical expertise and products required to smoothly transition
to the new operating system, protect current investments, and optimize the
availability and performance of their desktop computing environments."

and include:
