Modde 3.0 for Windows and experimental design, now shipping.

Umetrics inc. is pleased to announce that version 3.0 of Modde for Windows,
the experimental design and modelling software written for scientists by
scientists, is now available. Modde 3.0 has D-optimal and mixture designs
in addition to the classical screening and RSM designs. Mixture modelling
includes Cox models, Slack variables, and Scheff models, and models with
both process and mixture factors.

Modde 3.0 aims at making experimental design and modelling available to the
experimentalist, and facilitates the planning and analysis of experiments
by powerful design and data analysis methods supported by versatile and
rich graphics. All results are presented either as plots or lists or both.
All this in a neat, tight, and fast package, which helps you become a much
better experimentalist, solving more complicated problems faster than
before.

Up to 32 factors, unlimited number of responses and support for defining
linear constraints. Factorial, fractional factorial, Plackett-Burman, L9,
L18, L27, L36 designs for screening. CCC, CCF, Box-Behnken RSM designs,
Simplex and D-optimal for mixtures, and D-optimal designs for all
constrained problems, including those with both qualitative, process, and
mixture factors.

The D-optimal algorithm is the one of DuMouchel and Jones guarding against
potential terms, thus giving D-optimal designs similar properties as the
classical designs.

The evaluation tools include multiple regression, PLS, Box-Cox plots,
cross-validation, and rich diagnostics based on residuals, ANOVA, etc.,
contour plots, 3D surface plots, effects and interaction plots.

Modde is used extensively in the chemical, polymer, pharmaceutical,
biotechnical, mining, petroleum, food and beverages, pulp and paper, and
cosmetic industries.

Umetrics inc. also distributes the Simca for Windows line of multi- variate
analysis softwares. These include Simca-P 2.1 for process modelling and
monitoring, now with an on-line module available for most process computer
systems.
