TRT Launches VP Express Product Line

Windows Computer Telephony applications targeted for reseller channels

(Roseville, California) -- 14 August 1995 -- Telephone Response
Technologies, Inc. (TRT), a leading supplier of Computer Telephony (CT)
solutions, announced the release of a new generation of Windows-based
computer telephony applications. When installed into a Windows-based PC
outfitted with multi-line telephone cards, VP Express applications
automate a wide variety of telephone-based transactions. The VP Express
family of applications include:

VP Voice Mail - a flexible voice mail module
  VP Fax-on-Demand - a feature-rich fax-on-demand module
VP Broadcaster - a powerful fax and voice message broadcaster
VP Dealer Locator - a zip code / area code dealer locator module

Base configurations support up to eight incoming telephone lines
simultaneously with versions available for as many as 16 lines. The VP
Fax-on-Demand and VP Broadcaster products support ten fax lines
simultaneously at no additional cost.

The VP Express product line makes it easy for businesses to take advantage
of computer telephony technologies. Computer telephony solutions integrate
enterprise computing with telephone-based transactions- providing any
company with productivity gains and significant cost savings on each
transaction. The application products are designed to be easy to install
and use, and priced at a level where end-user business can afford them
while providing resellers with healthy margins. "For the first time, a
series of computer telephony application products are available that
enable computer integrators, Novell resellers, and Value-Added Resellers
(VARs) to take advantage of the exploding opportunities in computer
telephony," says Chris Bajorek, president of TRT.

Designed for VARs.

What makes VP Express so unique and flexible is the use of TRT's Visual
ProVIDE as the fundamental building block. Visual ProVIDE software allows
a wide range of computer telephony applications to be developed using
Microsoft's popular Visual Basic environment. This is important since VP
Express applications were designed especially for installation and resale
by VARs. VARs can purchase a "source code kit" to quickly make changes or
implement special requests. Very few other voice mail or fax-on-demand
products on the market have this flexibility. "VP Express resellers can
add significant value with customized screens, links to other programs,
and add-on capabilities," says Ed Margulies, VP, Sales and Marketing.
"This truly empowers resellers to meet the demands of end-users, thus
providing our customers with a unique competitive advantage."

Time-saving benefit to VARs.

The creation of fully-functional computer telephony applications from
scratch can be a daunting task. Even with powerful Windows-based computer
telephony development tools, a solid voice mail or fax-on-demand system
can take hundreds to thousands of programmer hours to develop and test.
The benefit to VARs is thus clear: VP Express offers a solid product
starting point to which they can add their incremental features or special
vertical market add-ons.

Any combination of modules.

VP Express applications can be mixed and matched in any combination on a
single PC. For example, you can deploy a PC-based system with both VP
VoiceMail and VP Fax-on-Demand. TRT's product mission is to continually
release new applications in the VP Express line, leading the computer
telephony industry in the breadth of application coverage.

Solutions Express connects businesses with VP Express VARs.

TRT's own Solutions Express program is designed to put businesses in touch
with authorized VP Express VARs. Benefits to VARs include a stream of
qualified leads resulting from TRT's promotional activities. Benefits to
end-user businesses include regional support from qualified resellers who
have the expertise to install and modify VP Express systems. VARs
interested in becoming a Solutions Express member are required to fill out
a qualifying application and demonstrate their PC and integration
experience.

Pricing

Each VP Express application module supports up to eight voice lines (plus
up to ten fax lines for VP Fax-on-Demand and VP Broadcaster). Retail
pricing is $1,295 with significant discounts available to authorized VP
Express VARs. Discounts are available for each additional module added to
a system. Voice line upgrades can be made in two-line increments. Special
hardware and software bundles include one or more multi-line speech and
fax cards.

TRT is a ten-year-old company serving the telecommunications and computer
telephony industry. In addition to VP Express, TRT develops and sells a
comprehensive line of computer telephony application development tools.
The company's award-winning ProVIDE product is used worldwide by systems
integrators, Value-Added Resellers, and telephone companies. ProVIDE is
the basis for over 70,000 installed voice and fax phone lines of CT
applications worldwide. Based in Roseville, California, TRT is a charter
endorser of the Signal Computing System Architecture (SCSA), and a member
of the Dialogic ToolKit Developer Program.
