NETWORKS EXPO DALLAS ANNOUNCES SPECIAL INTERNET EVENTS

Attendees will Explore the Information Superhighway at Networks Expo
Dallas, September 12-14, 1995 at the Dallas Convention Center

(Fort Lee, NJ, August 16)--The advantages and challenges of linking the
corporate network to the Internet will be explored at Networks Expo
Dallas, September 12-14, 1995 at the Dallas Convention Center. The Tenth
Annual Networks Expo Dallas will feature an Internet Pavilion that will
allow attendees to meet access/service providers, Internet consultants,
Web page developers, and security experts who can help them to evaluate,
plan, and implement strategies for putting their companies on the
Internet.

A hands-on Internet Theater. sponsored by IBM Corporation and IBM Global
Network, will be located within the Internet Pavilion, where Networks Expo
attendees will be able to explore the world of electronic commerce. The
Internet Theater will be equipped with 35 desktop stations and a big
screen monitor from which everyone in the pavilion will be able to view
participants "surfing the Net." Each session will last approximately 30
minutes, and sessions will begin every half hour. The demonstration will
include methods of connecting to the Internet. using Internet tools to
make the connection, and accessing the resources available on the
Internet. The demonstration will feature OS/2 Warp Connect on IBM personal
computers, as well as the IBM Internet Connection. The IBM Global Network
team will guide attendees through the business tools available in
cyberspace.

There will be an Internet Orientation held every morning before the show
opens, providing a quick overview of the Internet and its role as a tool
for business. Attendees will learn basic Internet applications including
Telnet, FTP, Gopher, WAIS, World Wide Web, Mosaic, and Netscape. The
Internet Orientation will cover how to get on the Internet, tools for
navigating and browsing, getting information from the Internet, and e-mail
and newsgroups.

In addition to the Internet Pavilion and orientation, a seminar track on
the Internet will be offered to help all levels of management understand
the new opportunities presented by this global resource. The Internet
Track at Networks Expo Dallas will include an introduction to the Internet
as well as evaluating and selecting Internet service providers, case
studies in Internet business benefits, managing an Internet connection,
building an Internet firewall, using the Internet as a server, and ask the
Internet panel experts.

The Networks Expo Dallas show floor will feature more than 250 exhibitors
including: American Power Conversion, AMP, AT&T, Attachmate, Bay Networks,
Cabletron, Cisco, Dell, Dialogic, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Microsoft,
Motorola, NetFrame, NetManage, Network General, Novell, Sun Express, Texas
Instruments, Thomas-Conrad, Tricord and The Wollongong Group. The Second
Annual WINDOWS WORLD/Dallas, produced by Softbank Comdex, will run
concurrently with Networks Expo Dallas at the Dallas Convention Center.
Attendees will be able to evaluate Windows 95, Microsoft's MSN Online
service as well as Windows NT interoperability solutions.
