INTERPLAY PREVIEWS AD&D GAME DRAGON DICE

August 10, 1995 -- Irvine, California -- Interplay Productions treated a
captive audience at the GEN CON Game Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
today to a preview of its soon-to-be released Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
title, Dragon Dice for IBM computers. Based on the licensing agreement
Interplay signed with TSR, Inc., the producers of the best-selling line of
AD&D games, Dragon Dice will be Interplay's first AD&D title to hit the
market. TSR popularized this unrivaled AD&Ddice game in which each die
possesses unique properties which players must manipulate to their
characters advantage.

"Dragon Dice is a new type of 'roll-playing' game," said Mark O'Green,
Interplay's AD&D division director. "With over 120 dice in the game, the
game-play potential is nearly infinite and players will come back to play
again and again because of all the exciting possibilities. Definitely the
biggest draw of Dragon Dice is the fact that it will never play the same,
providing hours of gaming adventure and fun."

Dragon Dice is the answer for players in search of a unique gaming world:
dark forces, fantasy, extraordinary characters, fantastic battles,
fascinating places; happenstance, magic, chance and illusion. This
computer dice game gives players free rein to create their own characters
and armies from the entire 128-dice set. In addition, the computer version
of the game will ship with a unique collectible "Dragon Lord" die, to be
played in the table version. With each die possessing specific strengths,
magic and unique character traits, players will discover worlds that can
only be created by the power of their minds -- with a little luck from the
roll of the die.

Dragon Dice is easy to learn and quick to set up, with variety as its
strongest asset. With game play for up to four players, the roll of the
die determines the players' luck, or lack thereof. With the special
animated dice, players can create interesting characters in fantastic
worlds who cast magic spells, go to battle, maneuver about and send off
missiles to wreak havoc in other realms, all in an effort to gain control
of two lands. Following the original dice game from TSR, this computer
version is challenging to both beginners and advanced players.

This project is the first in a series of new, original approaches that
Interplay is taking in designing fresh interactive AD&Dtitles. With
detailed graphics and excellent sound, Dragon Dice will appeal to a broad
base of gamers. Orders for Dragon Dice are expected to hover around the
one-million mark (in units) by year's end. Dragon Dice will be available
for IBM computers in the Windows environment and will premiere on store
shelves in mid-October 1995.

TSR is the world's largest manufacturer of role-playing adventure games and
books, and it produces the best-selling line of Advanced Dungeons &
Dragons games. More than two million copies of TSR's AD&D computer and
video games have been sold to date. In addition to computer games,
Interplay's agreement also allows them to produce home video and
coin-operated games.
