INTERGRAPH TEAMS WITH MICROSOFT TO LAUNCH WINDOWS 95 IN TECHNICAL ARENA

REDMOND, Wash., August 24, 1995 -- Participating in Microsoft Corporation's
launch of the Windows 95 operating system today, Intergraph demonstrated a
sampling of Windows 95- compatible software applications for design,
engineering, and other technical professions. Intergraph is the largest
developer of 32-bit Windows-based applications for computer-aided design,
engineering, and manufacturing and geographic information systems, now
available for both Windows 95 and the Microsoft Windows NT operating
system.

"The Windows 95 launch presents a great opportunity for Intergraph Software
Solutions to reinforce our commitment to the 32-bit Windows environment
made three years ago. Intergraph chose Windows NT and now Windows 95 to
realize the vision of the Technical Desktop -- where technical
applications and personal productivity tools freely interoperate," said
Tommy Steele, president of Intergraph Software Solutions. "We remain
dedicated to providing technical professionals a complete set of the most
robust design, engineering, and mapping applications in the world, for
their choice of Windows environments. And, we have the interoperability
products and database tools to make sure existing data investments are
secure and easily accessible, regardless of platform," Steele added.

"Intergraph's software packages for Windows 95 will help engineer our
highways, design our schools, and map our world," said Brad Chase, general
manager of the personal systems division at Microsoft. "By taking
advantage of the technologies in Windows 95, computer-aided designers will
be even more productive," noted Chase.

Intergraph has been instrumental in optimizing and extending the Windows
environment for the specialized 3D graphics world of computer-aided
design. Intergraph authored OLE for Design & Modeling Applications, a set
of extensions to Microsoft's OLE, now a de facto industry specification
supported by more than 30 CAD software vendors. This standard will allow
users to build compound documents and models incorporating data from a
variety of sources without concern about native formats. "We believe that
Windows NT and Windows 95 will emerge as the engineering platform of
choice and will lead us into the next century," said Steele.

Demonstrated today at the Windows 95 launch:

Intergraph Imagineer Technical is a new 2D precision drawing package, based
on OLE for Design & Modeling Applications that features SmartSketch
technology to help users double their drawing productivity. (Available at
the end of 1995.)

Pixel PRO provides a powerful, easy-to-use toolkit for capturing,
translating, enhancing and managing raster images of any size. (Available
now.)

MOGLE (MicroStation OpenGL Engine) software graphics accelerator improves
display performance of MicroStation graphics up to 11,000 percent. AutoGL
improves rendering and graphics display of AutoDesk's AutoCAD Releases 12
and 13 up to 9,400 percent. (MOGLE is available now. AutoGL will be
available in September.)

Also shown were a suite of critically-acclaimed interoperability products
which allow users to navigate and share files effectively between Windows
and UNIX environments:

which allow users to navigate andshare files effectively between Windows
and UNIX-based systems.

DiskAccess is a 32-bit NFS client enabling users of Windows 95 to mount and
access files stored on UNIX-based systems. (Available now.)

Intergraph's eXalt for Windows 95 lets users move quickly between X-based
applications and Windows 95 without cumbersome text-file editing.
(Available in September.)

Batch Services allows users of Windows 95 to schedule and run large batch
jobs on Windows NT- and UNIX-based systems. (Available at the end of
1995.)

Many of Intergraph's other applications are available now for Windows 95 as
well as Windows NT. These include Transcend, natural language translation
software available in five languages and a full suite of design products
for architecture, civil, site, electrical and water engineering.
Intergraph is also the first major GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
vendor to make its complete family of geo-spatial, mapping and engineering
applications available for Windows 95.
