GammaCAD PRO 2.00

The Most Affordable Windows CAD Program Has Just Gotten More Powerful!

Fort Collins, CO--Gamma Software announces the release of GammaCAD PRO
2.00, a powerful yet easy to use CAD system for Windows 3.1 or later. This
release adds many new features including the first lossless DXF transfer
in a program in this price range (maybe any price range). The program
contains on-line tutorials, examples, and context-sensitive help to get
even the novice user up and running in no time. GammaCAD PRO will now
automatically set up the printer / plotter page for you, so you don't have
to try and figure out the best scale or use trail and error to center your
drawing on the page. And at $25, it is the most affordable Windows CAD
program on the market.

What do we mean by lossless DXF transfer? Simply that if you import a DXF
file into GammaCAD PRO and then later export it back out to a DXF file,
you will not lose any information in the process. Not all CAD programs can
say this. What does this mean to you? If you need to work with DXF files
then you can use GammaCAD PRO instead of a more expensive CAD program. You
can also use GammaCAD PRO to supplement a more expensive CAD program so
you don't have to buy as many copies. DXF is the industry standard format
for exchanging vector graphics information.

While CAD software has traditionally been too expensive and had too steep a
learning curve for the average PC user, GammaCAD PRO puts the power of
computer aided design within the reach of everyone. With this program you
can use CAD for purposes which you could not justify buying a more
expensive CAD system. For example, you can use it to design an addition to
your home, add a technical drawing in your word processor or desktop
publishing program, create graphs, charts, simple maps and much more. Of
course, it can also be used for the same types of drawings traditionally
associated with CAD software such as electrical diagrams, interior
designs, landscapes, architectural drawings, maps, mechanical drawings and
so forth.

The software includes over 100 drawing symbols which can be placed in your
drawings. These include symbols for such things as floor plans, interior
design, electrical diagrams, computer networks, landscapes and
engineering. These symbols can be inserted multiple times at different
scales and rotation angles in the same drawing. They can also be
customized to meet your own needs, and you can even add your own reusable
symbols.

With the dimensioning commands you can add vertical, horizontal, parallel
and radial dimensions to your drawing. Leaders can also be created to
annotate different parts of the drawing.

Any rectangular area within the drawing can be copied to the Windows
clipboard as a bitmap. This bitmap can then be pasted into any Windows
program that allows you to paste a bitmap. For example, most Windows word
processors allow you to paste a bitmap. Using this feature, you can place
drawings into your word processor documents.
