Galacticomm and APDI join forces to provide turnkey online solutions

Ft. Lauderdale, FL -- July 30, 1995 -- Galacticomm, Inc. and Application
Programming & Development, Inc. (APDI) have formed a Strategic Business
Partnership to operate online services for organizations using
Galacticomm's Worldgroup. This client/server software package provides
customers with an out-of-the box online service -- extending workgroup
capabilities beyond the walls of the company. APDI is the nation's largest
online service bureau, operating online systems for some of the largest
organizations in the county at its communications facility.

With this partnership, organizations can realize the benefits of an online
system, while APDI manages the technical details of implementation and
operation.

"APDI's involvement in larger proposals enables us to offer clients a total
online solution," says Ken Royer, Director of Galacticomm's Network and
Integration Services Division. "Their services offer an attractive option
for organizations that want to take advantage of online capabilities, but
don't have the in-house expertise or staff to operate and maintain the
system."

"As the leading online system software developer, APDI recommends
Worldgroup for clients who want a fully graphical online environment,"
adds APDI Marketing Director Lee Hevner. "The combination of this
excellent product and APDI's outsourcing services brings customized,
professional online capabilities within the reach of organizations who had
previously thought the task too big to handle."

Galacticomm's Network and Integration Services (NIS) division and APDI
designs and customizes the Worldgroup software to meet the client's
specific needs, and then implements and operates the system at APDI's
Service Center in Camp Springs, MD. In addition, this service offers a
professionally staffed Help Desk to assist the client's users in
connecting to the online system. The client appoints a "co-Sysop" who
provides the content for the system, while NIS and APDI manage all other
technical details.

With the Worldgroup software, the client's system will be able to support
well over 200 simultaneous users on a single DOS machine. Users can
connect via modem, LAN, the Internet, and X.25 packet switching (allowing
a local call through the U.S. and many countries). Clients can also offer
an 800 number to users.

The services available include e-mail, file transfer, teleconference,
public message areas, a polling facility, and more. In addition, custom
programs, such as integrating mainframe applications with the online
system, can be developed. For clients desiring a presence on the World
Wide Web, the companies can launch a home page on the Internet using
Galacticomm software.

The communications facility offers maximum security for the client's online
system with fully redundant hardware for each online system and an
independent power generation facility. All systems are backed up daily and
data is stored off-site to ensure total security.

Galacticomm is a privately held Fort Lauderdale corporation that has been a
leading developer of multi-user communications hardware and software since
1985. Through its Network and Integration Services (NIS) division,
Galacticomm can assist organizations in planning and implementing
Worldgroup systems and Internet sites. NIS services include consulting,
systems integration, training programs, advanced support, and turnkey
systems.

The company also offers The Major BBS for UNIX and a wide range of add-on
software and multi-user hardware. Over 22,000 corporations, government
agencies, and individuals are Galacticomm customers.
