DIAMOND ANNOUNCES PRODUCT LINE SUPPORT FOR WINDOWS 95 OPERATING SYSTEM

Multimedia Accelerators, Audio/Telephony Subsystems and Multimedia Kits
Designed for Compatibility

August 24, 1995, Redmond, Washington -- Diamond Multimedia (Nasdaq:DIMD)
today announced its product support plans for Microsoft( Windows( 95
operating system. Immediately, most SpeedStar, Stealth, and Viper series
multimedia accelerators, TeleCommander audio/telephony susbsystems, and
Diamond Multimedia Kits are compatible with Windows 95. Drivers for many
of the Diamond multimedia accelerators and TeleCommander products are on
the Microsoft Windows 95 retail CD-ROM.

"Windows 95 is designed to be an excellent operating system for running
demanding multimedia applications," said Ken Wirt, vice president of
marketing for Diamond Multimedia. "Diamond's hardware products are poised
to take advantage of the multimedia and entertainment infrastructure built
into Windows 95, and further enhance those functions by accelerating key
multimedia components including fast graphics and video as well as
telecommunications support."

"We have been working closely with multimedia manufacturers such as Diamond
to provide users with computing products that maximize the features of
Windows 95 such as Plug and Play for simple installation of hardware
devices," said Brad Chase, general manager of the personal systems
division at Microsoft.

Drivers for most Diamond SpeedStar, Stealth and Viper series multimedia
accelerators are contained in the retail version of Microsoft's Windows 95
operating system. Drivers to program the refresh rates according to
monitor selection within the Control Panel are also included on the
CD-ROM.

Existing Diamond customers can download Windows 95 drivers free of charge
from Diamond's BBS, AOL, and CompuServe forums. Diskette versions are
available through Diamond's customer service department.

Diamond's TeleCommander series audio/telephony/fax/modems and Multimedia
Kits are also Windows 95 compatible.
