Delrina Announces The Complete Communications Solution for Windows 95

Delrina CommSuite 95 Delivers PC Communications at Your Command with
Integrated, Intelligent Solutions for Fax, Voice Messaging, Telephony, the
Internet, Data, E-Mail and Paging

SAN JOSE, CA and TORONTO, ONT -- August 7, 1995 -- Delrina Corporation
(NASDAQ:DENAF TSE:DC), the makers of WinFax, the world's most popular PC
communications software for Windows with more than 10 million copies
shipped to date, is poised to replicate its success on the Microsoft
Windows 95 platform as it prepares a new generation of PC communications
software.

Delrina CommSuite 95, available in the 4th quarter '95, is the complete
communications solution for Windows 95 that delivers full-featured,
integrated applications for fax, voice messaging, telephony, the Internet,
data, e-mail and paging. It is designed to attract the non-technical mass
market to computer based communications, while providing all the necessary
"power" features for more advanced users. CommSuite 95 includes:

* WinFax PRO 7.0, the best way to send receive and manage faxes for Windows
95, now includes full e-mail support (through MAPI), built-in paging and
over 100 new features. TalkWorks, the integrated voice and telephony
option for WinFax PRO, is also included for call discrimination, telephone
answering machine functionality, telephony, and fax-on-demand.

* Cyberjack 7.0, the best way to get the full power of the Internet for
Windows 95, is a brand new application. It includes a full suite of
integrated Internet tools designed around the concept of a Guidebook, a
personal trail guide that helps the user to navigate the Internet.

* WinComm PRO 7.0, the best way to easily go on-line for Windows 95, is
graphically oriented, general purpose communications software for easy
access to bulletin boards, on-line services, and host sessions (terminal
emulation).

* Delrina CommBar sits on the desktop and reports the communications status
of the computer, whether the user is using fax, data, e-mail, or
telephony.

"CommSuite 95 builds on our vision to deliver PC communications at your
command for the Windows 95 platform," said Mark Skapinker, president of
Delrina. "Our suite focuses on two key areas of communications: messaging,
and interactive/on-line. For messaging, CommSuite 95 integrates WinFax PRO
for fax, e-mail, and paging, with our voice messaging and telephony
application called TalkWorks. Cyberjack for the Internet, and WinComm PRO
for general purpose communications, round out the suite in the area of
interactive, on-line communications. We believe the CommSuite 95 provides
users with all the power, simplicity, integration and intelligence to
communicate from one place -- their PC. For example, if you are one of the
40 million North Americans who works outside a traditional office even
part of the time, CommSuite 95 can be your fax and e-mail repository, your
telephone answering service, your source for paging and your personal
guide through cyberspace."

Building Upon Windows 95

All of the applications in CommSuite 95 are true 32-bit, multi-tasking and
multi-threaded programs that deliver faster, more reliable background
communications, even while running other computer-intensive applications.
In addition, the new products maximize the use of the powerful common
elements under Windows 95, supporting OLE 2.0, MAPI, TAPI and Unimodem.
For example, CommSuite 95 takes advantage of Plug +n Play, for easier
installation and automatic configuration of fax modems.

CommSuite 95 is both a Microsoft Office compatible and Windows 95 logoed
application. All of the components follow standard conventions like common
commands, menu names and locations, tool bars and placement of buttons,
including customization, ToolTips, common dialogs, drag and drop features,
right mouse click support, long file names, OLE 2.0 and more. These
standard conventions provide consistency among "compatible" applications,
enabling users to learn and use applications more easily and effectively.
For example, if a user knows Word, Excel or PowerPoint, they will be
immediately productive with CommSuite 95. CommSuite 95 also has a single
common installation for all the applications.

Integrated Messaging

In previous version of WinFax, the software was able to send, receive and
manage e-mail messages, along with faxes. WinFax PRO 7.0 raises messaging
to a new level, enabling users to manage not just e-mail but other
messaging types. WinFax PRO 7.0 provides integrated messaging enabling
users to manage all their fax, e-mail, voice and paging messages in an
integrated messaging log (i.e. in box) and address book. The software is a
also able to mix messaging types, and for example, initiate a paging
message to notify the user that an urgent fax or voice message has
arrived. WinFax PRO also completely merges with Microsoft Exchange, the
e-mail client component in Windows 95, transparently sharing information.

WinFax PRO 7.0 includes over 100 new features and functional improvements
including the capability to transmit up to 1/3 faster. Also, people can
now fax high quality gray scale images, such as photographs, when using
devices such as the WinFax Scanner. Other enhancements include Post-it
type cover pages, the ability to define recurring fax transmissions,
automatic hard copy confirmations of transmissions, rule-based
auto-forwarding/routing, and the award-winning Xerox TextBridge 3.0 OCR
(Optical Character Recognition) engine.

Through TalkWorks, the WinFax telephony option, small office/home office
users will have the capabilities of a full voice mail system, but with the
ease of use and very low cost associated with a home answering machine.
TalkWork includes features such as call discrimination, which allows users
to use a single phone line for inbound fax, voice and data calls.
TalkWorks also provides capabilities for multiple mailboxes, remote
retrieval, and integrated fax-on-demand.

Interactive and On-Line

The new Delrina Cyberjack 7.0 takes the mystery out of the Internet and
makes traveling all of the Internet easy and fun, even for the novice
"surfer". Unlike other Internet products, that only offer Web browsing,
Cyberjack delivers the full compliment of Internet tools in an intuitive,
integrated and consistent manner.

Cyberjack 7.0 includes the revolutionary Guidebook, which serves as the
user's trail guide to the Net by directing people to topics and places of
interest. The Guidebook also acts as a central repository for organizing
all Internet activities, like a visit to a home page on the Word Wide Web,
a USEnet news group, downloading files from an FTP site, chatting on IRC
or searching the Net using tools like Gopher, Archie or WAIS.

Through OLE 2.0 "in-place activation", all of Cyberjack's tools can be
launched within each other without special commands or Internet expertise.
For example, a novice user can be reading a note in a news group with the
Cyberjack news reader, click on the text in the note that names a web site
address, and with a right mouse click, the web browser is automatically
activated taking the user to the site. The news reader literally "morphs"
into the web browser.

Finally, in the latest edition of Delrina's award-winning on-line software,
WinComm PRO 7.0 has been designed to be the easiest way for people to go
on-line with Windows 95. Users will be able to quickly and painlessly
connect to major on-line services, including CompuServe, Genie, Dow Jones
and MCI Mail. WinComm PRO supports all the popular file transfer protocols
and terminal emulation, has a built-in script recorder, as well as an
image viewer to display graphical images while downloading. Also new to
WinComm PRO 7.0 is built-in virus detection software so that users can
download files without corrupting their PC hard drives. Viruses are
detected "on-the-fly" even if the file is ZIPed (i.e. compressed). A
built-in ZIP Manager enables users to visually manage all their compressed
files directly within WinComm.

Delrina CommBar

The revolutionary Delrina CommBar sits on the user's desktop and reports
the status of all computer communications. Like the small red light that
flashes on a telephone indicating voice messages are waiting, CommBar
notifies the user of any faxes, voice mail messages, e-mail, or data that
has arrived. In addition, CommBar features a real-time indicator of
on-going fax transmissions, incoming telephone calls, or pages being sent.
For example, CommBar can report that it has responded to an incoming
telephone call, display the Caller ID and prompt the user if they wish to
take the call or send it directly to their mailbox.

CommBar is fully integrated into the Windows 95 desktop (i.e. like the Task
Bar), so users can drag it to any place on the desktop or place it along
the top of the screen. It also enables the user to launch applications or
tasks with a single click. To add a program users can simply drag and drop
the program's icon onto CommBar.

"The combination of Windows 95 and CommSuite 95 defines a new age of PC
communications where it will be much easier for people to send and receive
information electronically, regardless of whether the media is images,
voice, text, or data," said Mark Skapinker. "The suite products, working
so seamlessly in tandem, will bring the market for desktop communications
to new levels. We believe they will introduce novices who have been
intimidated by the complexity of modem interfaces, ports and computer
addresses, or the power user, into a world where their fingertips control
desktop communications."
