Pentium-based notebook computers with stereo audio sound for complete
multimedia capability.

CHEM USA is a rising notebook market star with a full line of
ChemBook-brand (sold through distributors and retailers) and 5d brand
(available direct) high-performance notebook computers.

The new Pentium Audio and Value Pentium notebook computers feature a
Microsoft Sound System- and Soundblaster Pro-compatible 16-bit stereo
sound system with built-in microphone and speaker, 1MB VRAM with a 32-bit
PCI video bus and Windows accelerator for exceptional sound quality and
fast sharp graphics on a simultaneous CRT/LCD display.

The ChemBook Model 3900 and the 5d Model 5000 Pentium Audio notebooks
feature a 90Mhz Pentium microprocessor, 256K L2 cache memory, 8-, 16- or
-24MB or RAM, and a built-in 540MB (megabyte) or 720MB hard drive, 1.44MB
floppy drive, an EPP/ECP external parallel port configured for a CD-ROM
drive and high-speed serial port for networking and modem capabilities.
Both models are available now from $3,000 to $4,200 suggested retail price
(SRP), depending on configuration.

The ChemBook Model 9800 and the 5d Model 5100 Value Pentium Audio notebooks
provide one 296-pin SPGA socket for Intel 75-, 90- or 100MHz Pentium
microprocessors. Other features include 256K L2 cache memory, 8-, 16-, 24-
or 40MB of RAM, a built-in 1.44MB floppy drive, removable 500MB or 810MB
hard drive, an external parallel port configured for a CD-ROM drive, and
high-speed serial port for networking and modem usage. Both models are
available now at suggested retail prices from $2,590 to $3,880, depending
on configuration.

Both the Value Pentium and Pentium Audio notebook computers are designed to
support the capabilities of desktop PCs found in small or home offices, or
to function as stand-alone multimedia PCs for the business traveler. With
one each Type I and Type m PCMCIA slots in the Value Pentium or two Type
II & one Type III in the Pentium Audio Notebook, plus a docking station to
quickly connect to desktop PCs and a built-in infrared interface for
instant wireless connection to peripherals,

The notebooks provide additional on- or off-line data storage for small
office/home office desktop PCs, or access to the wealth of applications
available on PC cards such as fax/modem software downloading,
communications, and other memory-intensive applications.

Both notebooks include efficient power management features, including a CPU
and Globe standby mode, plus auto-suspend and auto power management
support. In addition, an autoswitching AC adapter, NiMH battery
(hot-swappable in the Value Pentium) and two-hour fast charge capabilities
manage power when traveling.
