AMERICA ONLINE GOES HOLLYWOOD

Expands Movie Content, Presents Unique Services to Moviegoers, and Extends
Coverage of the Film Industry; AOL Announces New Partnership with Miramax
Films

Vienna, VA, August 16, 1995 -- America Online, Inc. announced today the
debut of Movies, an online area exclusively dedicated to providing
information and services to moviegoers. Movies provides information about
and reviews of current releases and old favorites, information about film
festivals and movie studios, direct links to relevant movie sites on the
World Wide Web and movie forums where members discuss films and the movie
industry amongst themselves. Members can access the Movie area by using
Keyword: Movies. AOL also announced a new partnership with Miramax Films
to provide insider information on one of Hollywood's hottest independant
film studios. Miramax will premier on America Online early this Fall.

Movies offers content ranging from original AOL forums like CinemaPOV,
Follywood, and HollywoodOnline where members interact with writers,
Hollywood insiders, and other movie lovers to discuss films and the movie
industry; to MovieLink, a New Media division of 777-FILM, where AOL
members can find out what's playing in their neighborhood and order
tickets for the next show; to Entertainment Weekly and Extra Online where
they can get the latest film industry news. AOL members can also access
movie reviews from the New York Times, Reuters, Variety, Joel Siegel and
Gene Siskel.

Each forum in Movies distinguishes itself with content or attitude
unavailable elsewhere. For instance, the newly launched CinemaPOV, founded
and staffed by entertainment industry professionals, includes special
interest message boards such as Deaf Arts Council, Movie Morality, and
Technorama. CinemaPOV also offers CinemaVox, CinemaWeb, CinemaSpeak and
manages the AOL Casting Forum where aspiring actors and actresses can post
a resume and a photo and casting directors cybersurf to discover new
talent. Being discovered on AOL's Casting Forum is the next best thing to
Lana Turner's having been discovered sitting on a strategically located
stool at Schraft's! Go to Keyword: CinemaPOV.

Follywood is divided into two areas: Making movies and Watching Movies. In
one area, aspiring artists are collaborating on cyberspace's first
interactively generated screenplay; in the other, film buffs post their
thoughtful, wry and witty musings on film. Go to Keyword: Follywood.

HollywoodOnline sponsors online contests and events and maintains an Ask
the Stars Message Board where AOL members post questions to the stars and
the stars respond. Recent celebrity participants have included Sandra
Bullock, Kevin Costner, Tom Arnold, Kevin Bacon, Bruce Willis and Eric
Idle. Go to Keyword: Hollywood.
