PCI Groups Agree to Joint Conferences

San Diego, CA. August 21, 1995--Annabooks Conferences, sponsor of PCI '95
Week, and PC2 Consulting, sponsor of the PCI Spring '95 Workshop, have
agreed to sponsor a joint PCI conference. The joint conference, dubbed the
PCI Spring Developers Conference and Expo, will be held April 29-May 3,
1996 in San Jose, CA.

"Both organizations held successful conferences this Spring in Silicon
Valley. But it was difficult for design engineers to attend both events,"
said Annabooks CEO John Choisser. "Combining the two conferences into one
premier event," continued Choisser, "will make it easier to serve all
engineers who are interested in PCI technology."

The PCI Spring '95 Design Workshop focussed on PCI hardware and software
architecture, while PCI '95 Week addressed applications, engineering,
packaging, marketing and systems. The combined conference will address all
of these issues, and more.

The PCI Local Bus is a high-speed 132 Mbyte/sec data transfer bus that is
rapidly being adopted as an industry standard. The high-speed local bus is
used to complement or replace ISA/EISA bus traffic for compute- and
data-intensive applications like multimedia, simulation, audio, and
graphics.

PC2 Consulting LLC, based in Portland Oregon, specializes in PCI
architecture training seminars and design consulting. Two of the company's
cofounders, Norm Rasmussen and Brad Hosler, are the primary architects of
the PCI Local Bus specification. Ed Solari and George Willse are the
co-authors of the PCI Hardware and Software Book, as well as the
developers of the PCI hardware and firmware. PC2 also publishes the PCI
News newsletter and mans the PCI SIG Technical Support Phone Line.

Annabooks, based in San Diego, CA, is a leading technical book publisher,
with a focus on PC and embedded technology. The company's PCI books
include PCI Hardware and Software, the PCI Handbook, and most recently,
the PCI Databook. Annabooks conducts courses on embedded PC technology
through Annabooks University. The company also licenses MS DOS, Windows,
Windows 95, and Windows NT for the embedded market, and offers custom BIOS
porting and integration services.
