ANDYNE PROVIDES DSS TOOLS FOR OPEN PARALLEL UNISYS SERVER (OPUS)

August 16, 1995 -- Kingston, ON, Canada -- Andyne Computing Limited today
announced an agreement with Unisys Corporation in which Unisys will offer
Andyne GQL and Andyne PaBLO within the Unisys Colleagues Program. Under
the program Unisys will offer Andyne products as part of a complete
hardware and software data warehousing solution. Andyne and Unisys will
work together to develop marketing programs, pursue sales opportunities
and provide technical support. GQL is a decision support system
application (DSS) for relational data sources providng users with access
and analysis of detailed, transaction level data. PaBLO is a DSS tool for
multidimensional data sources which allows end-users to perform
sophisticated trend level analysis. Andyne provides decision support
products for both transactional and multidimensional analysis with the new
Open Parallel Unisys Server (OPUS).

"The alliance we're announcing today builds on the relationship Unisys has
with Andyne, by providing our customers with technical support for GQL and
PaBLO in addition to the joint marketing and sales efforts," said Bob
Schick, vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Unisys Decision Support
Sales and Marketing, "The Unisys/Andyne solution enables our customers to
carry out sophisticated trend analysis with PaBLO and then drill-down on
the transaction detail with GQL, found on the Open Parallel Unisys
Server."

"The Unisys Colleagues Program is designed to increase the quantity and
quality of OPUS-based data warehousing solutions, providing customers with
greater choice." said Andyne President and C.E.O. A. Cameron Thompson.
"Datawarehousing is fast becoming the dominant decision support paradigm
because it gives businesses a more efficient way to get at business
information and make informed decisions. A key component of our
warehousing strategy is support for all kinds of information, including
text and multimedia information -- not just relational data. To this end,
Andyne is developing a DSS client tool for text-based sources that will be
available in 1996."

Unisys Corporation is an information management company with over 60,000
clients in more than 100 countries. The company is a major supplier of

Andyne is a leader in the development and marketing of Decision Support
System (DSS) software with over 55,000 installations worldwide. The Andyne
Integrated Solution brings together three major sources of business
information to enable better business decisions. Andyne GQL is an ad hoc
query and reporting tool for relational data sources. Andyne PaBLO is an
OLAP (online analytic processing) client tool for multidimensional data
sources. And Andyne's entry into the structured text and SGML market is an
open, client/server, document repository and browser, designed for large
scale applications. The product, code named Rosetta, is scheduled for
release in 1996.

The Andyne Integrated Solution, combining the GQL, PaBLO and Rosetta
technologies, will create the first DSS suite capable of accessing and
analyzing information from relational databases, multidimensional
databases and structured text repositories in a single view. The DSS suite
will provide a common report interface for accessing all corporate
information -- users will simply point-and-click to find the business
information they need and combine results from the various sources in one
view that enables them to perform integrated analysis and reporting.
Andyne's applications offer easy-to-use, visual interfaces that can be
customized to suit business needs. Andyne services all of its products
through consulting, training, and technical support.

Andyne is a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ National Market System
