WATCOM C/C++ 10.0 RECEIVES PC MAGAZINE'S EDITOR'S CHOICE AWARD

Watcom's Extensive Platform Support and Superior Performance Top Microsoft
and Borland

Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, April 5, 1995 -- Watcom International today
announced that Watcom C/C++ version 10.0 won the Editors' Choice award for
C++ compilers from PC Magazine in its April 11, 1995 issue. The C/C++
compiler review examined each product's comparative strengths in
integrated development environment and tools, cross-platform development,
performance and C++ language implementation. The Editors' Choice was
awarded to Watcom C/C++ 10.0 over Microsoft Visual C++ 2.0 and Borland C++
4.5.

In recognizing Watcom C/C++, PC Magazine summarized: "A true cross-platform
compiler and set of cross-platform GUI tools let you target a huge range
of 16-bit and 32-bit platforms. The compiler offers strong C++ support and
delivered the fastest executables we saw in this roundup.... Its excellent
performance and very reasonable $199 price simply add to the luster. All
in all, this is a must-have package for anyone serious about C++." (PC
Magazine, April 11).

Watcom C/C++ 10.0 accelerates the development of high-performance,
multi-platform, 16-bit and 32-bit applications. Watcom C/C++ 10.0 combines

"We are very proud to receive this distinction from PC Magazine, a
publication that is widely respected and renowned for its comprehensive
testing procedures," said Dave Boswell, vice president of sales and
marketing at Watcom. " This award reflects the success of Watcom C/C++ in
delivering the power of high-performance, multi-platform compilers to
application developers."
