New Data Integration and Communications Features Announced for Windows EDI
Market Leader

Trading Partner PC Release 4.40 Provides "Programmerless" Integration with
Cross-Reference Files, Supports New Version of Advantis Expedite

Wilton, CT, April 17, 1995... Release 4.40 of Trading Partner PC, the
leading EDI software product for the Windows environment, was announced
today by TSI International. New facilities in Release 4.40 provide tighter
integration of EDI with a user's internal systems and business
applications and streamlined EDI processing. In addition, new
communications options provide support for the latest release of the
Advantis Expedite communications software for Windows.

An important new feature in the release is the ability to both access and
update user tables and cross-reference files during inbound and outbound
processing. This ability to update user tables and cross-reference files,
in addition to retrieving information, is unique for PC-based EDI
software. Users are now able to bring cross-reference data from existing
applications into the EDI process, and update this information on-line,
without programming or data mapping.

For example, information from an inbound EDI transaction, such as a
customer part number, can be used to access a table containing the
corresponding user part number. Using the Report Writer feature of Trading
Partner PC, information retrieved through a table look-up can be printed
on documents and reports. Tables and cross-reference files can be updated
based on information received from partners and can also be used for
accumulating totals such as quantities ordered and dollar amounts.

Tighter Integration with TSI's Mercator Data Mapper

Other business integration features of Release 4.40 include graphical
facilities for creating customized data entry screens and report
templates, and the ability to launch TSI's Mercator data mapping tool
directly from a Trading Partner PC screen or from pre-defined task lists.
Mercator is a client/server data transformation tool for converting data
in any format to any other format, including X12 EDI transactions, EDIFAC,
and Tradacoms messages.

Mercator maps are designed under Windows using drag & drop and other
graphical techniques. No programming is required, even with complex data
structures. Actual data conversion can take place on the same Windows
platform as Trading Partner PC or can execute on other platforms including
NT, UNIX, PC-DOS, VMS, and MVS.

Support for Advantis Expedite Version 4.2

New communications facilities of Trading Partner PC include support for
Version 4.2 of the Advantis Expedite PC communications software. Trading
Partner PC is the first Windows product to support Version 4.2 of
Expedite.

Also part of Release 4.40 communications support is integration of
asynchronous communications within the base product. Tighter integration
of communications with EDI translation means a more seamless process and
improved efficiency. Implementation of communications support is also
simplified. Users with installed Dynacomm software and scripts may
continue to use their existing facilities, convert to the new embedded
support, or operate with both.

Other communications-related enhancements include facilities for tracking
and reconciling acknowledgments for outbound transactions. Users are now
able to verify whether a transaction was accepted or rejected, and to view
details associated with the acknowledgment, from a Windows screen.

Release 4.40 is an important step in TSI's overall plan and direction for
Trading Partner PC. "When we entered the EDI market ease of use was a big
issue, and Windows was just beginning to be accepted as an EDI platform,"
stated David Raye, TSI Vice President of Operations and head of TSI's PC
Division. "We are now the leading EDI product for Windows by a wide margin
with over 8,000 users, and we expect to keep our lead. Release 4.40 will
help us do that."
