"OEW for C++" is selected as "Finalist" for Byte Magazine's "Best Software
Product of CeBIT 95"

"OEW for C++" is featured by both Borland and Microsoft

Hannover Germany, March 1995 - "OEW for C++" received high marks from BYTE
Magazine, Microsoft Corporation and Borland at the CeBIT95' Computer
Technology Exposition held earlier this month in Hannover Germany. OEW for
C++ is a highly advanced software workbench technology for C++ development
currently available on Microsoft Windows, Windows NT and OS/2 Warp. The
editors of Byte Magazine picked OEW for C++ as "Finalist" for "Best
Software Product of CeBIT95", the worlds largest computer exposition. In
addition, Microsoft Corporation and Borland both featured OEW for C++ in
their main product arena.

Innovative Software GmbH of Frankfurt, Germany, the creator of OEW (The
Object Engineering Workbench) had Product Marketing Engineers running two
thirty minute shows daily at the Microsoft Product Theater. In addition
the Product was featured twice daily at Borland's Exhibit in their Product
Theater. On-going technical product demonstrations were conducted in
Borland's product demo area by Innovative Software Engineers.

In Europe, OEW sales have catapulted to hundreds of copies per month since
the recent release of version 2.0. Partially supporting this success is a
distribution agreement with Borland for Central Europe. Innovative
Software has released a "Borland C++ Specific Version" that is distributed
by Borland through its own sales channels.

"The success of OEW for C++ is just starting to be felt in the United
States" said Martin Nappi, Director/COO at Terasoft Technology
Corporation, Innovative Software's Business Partner in North America. "We
are receiving very positive feedback from our customers and we are seeing
several great reviews being posted on the Internet and CompuServe bulletin
boards and in software forums."

OEW is the first truly "Open" Multi-Platform C++ Software Workbench. It
bridges a gap between Methods and Compilation that has only been addressed
in proprietary software systems in the past. Unlike these products, OEW
for C++ works with most other "off the shelf" software tools. For example,
OEW's unique Symbolic Parser reads in any standard C++ code, including
code generated by CASE Tools, programmer produced code or "off the shelf"
C++ Class Libraries. Then by providing Smalltalk-like browsers and dialogs
to support C++ Programming, the Software Developer can integrate these
pieces with OEW's powerful Reverse Engineering Engine and create a
complete application without ever editing a C++ file directly. OEW then
regenerates the source code ready for compilation, including statistics
for software metrics compatible with any AT&T 3.x C++ Compiler IDE. Also,
OEW can generate the design schema for Poet and Objectstore OODBMS'. OEW
delivers unrivaled productivity gains through the power of the C++
Programming Language without asking the developers to compromise existing
software systems they are currently using.

Availability and Pricing

Innovative Software has released a "Small Project Edition" of OEW - a
technically limited version of the full OEW for C++ product, supplied FREE
of charge to anyone interested in evaluating the technology. The "SPE"
does everything the full implementation of OEW will do, except the user
cannot save any sizable project to disk and they must view the output of
the documentation tools through the Preview function. These Evaluation
Versions are available on CD ROM for Microsoft Windows, Windows NT and
OS/2 Warp in both English and German language. They are also available
through electronic bulletin boards on CompuServe and on the Internet. Once
a user has evaluated OEW they can purchase the Multi-platform Edition on
CD ROM for $495. This is an introductory offer for the release of Version
2.0 that will run until May 30, 1995. After May 30th, the list price of
OEW's Multi-platform version will be adjusted to $795.

Host Platform Support

OEW for C++ is available on CD ROM for Microsoft Windows, Windows NT and
OS/2 Warp. Windows NT and OS/2 are full 32 bit implementations. Ports are
in Process to Sun Solaris, Sun OS, and Apple Powermac/System 7.5. These
implementations will be released in the summer. Ports to IBM AIX,
HP9000/HPU X, and DEC Alpha are planned for release in Q4 1995.

"OEW for C++" Technical Detail

OEW for C++ is a software development and maintenance workbench that
provides Software Engineers with the tools to productively harness the
power of the C++ Programming Language. In each phase of the software
development process OEW provides intuitive industrial strength tools that
dramatically increase productivity and reduce development time. Through
Analysis, Design, Programming, Code Generation, Testing, and Production of
Documentation, OEW provides a road tested solution for C++ engineering. In
the Coding and Debugging phase, OEW works with your choice of C++ Compiler
IDE watching your external source files, informing you of any changes, and
importing those changes automatically in the OEW repository with just a
click of the mouse. All the latest C++ features are supported including
exceptions and templates.

OEW's unique Parsing and Reverse Engineering capabilities simply cannot be
found in any other product commercially available. OEW's Symbolic Parser
imports any kind of C++ code, including: Code generated by other design
tools, incomplete projects or even syntactically incorrect code. OEW can
import a single file or complete programs including header and source
files or those from Commercial Class Libraries such as: STL, Rouge Wave
Classes, MFC, OWL, Zinc, StarView, zApp, XVT and many more. Then OEW
provides the means to merge this code into a new or existing application
supporting the process of re-generating that application including
statistical information for software metrics. OEW will then generate the
complete application in C++ source code including updates of the source
code which are fully compatible with all popular C++ Compilers supporting
AT&T C++ Standard 3.x.

OEW is the only Software Workbench commercially available that generates
the complete database schema for ObjectStore from Object Design, Inc. and
POET from Poet Software providing tight integration with these widely
installed OODBMS products. Ian White, a Software Consultant for
Westinghouse, UK said "OEW intuitively generates all the code required by
the database and lets me concentrate my efforts on writing the C++ to
instantiate and navigate my persistent objects. OEW makes my job a lot
easier, how did I ever manage before?".

OEW has been matured over the last three years through a rigorous
engineering process involving hundreds of commercial customer beta sites
around the world. Innovative Software is always listening to their users
for new ideas and improvements, conducting long beta test cycles with many
customers who are eager to participate. Mr. Stephan Wolf, the Managing
Director of Innovative Software said: "OEW has been created with the goal
of providing the most advanced "Workbench Technology" available with
robust support for industry standards coupled with the ability to bridge
many other third party C++ technologies".

The Companies Behind the Technology

Innovative Software GmbH was founded in 1989 and is a leading provider of
C++ software technology and supporting consultative services in Germany.
They originally designed OEW in 1990 to support their own inhouse software
development needs. In early 1992, Innovative Software shipped the first
commercial copies of OEW. Since then OEW has evolved into a full featured
C++ Workbench and is currently being used at over 2000 sites world-wide.
Today, OEW for C++ is the fastest growing software development product on
the market.

In addition to their offices in Frankfurt Germany, Innovative Software has
established a world-wide network of distributors "OEW International" who
