StarNine Names Chuck Shotton, author of MacHTTP, Senior Vice-President of
Engineering

Will lead StarNine's engineering effort to bring WebSTAR (formerly MacHTTP)
to market, the leading World Wide Web server for Macintosh

Internet World-San Jose, CA, 4/10/95 - StarNine Technologies announced that
Chuck Shotton, the author of the industry-leading World Wide Web server
software, MacHTTP, will join the company as Senior Vice-President of
Engineering. In his new position, Mr. Shotton will manage the development
of WebSTAR, the commercial version of MacHTTP, as well as future Internet
software products. The company also announced that Mr. Shotton was elected
to the Board of Directors.

and forthcoming Listserver and MailBot products are perfect complements to

establishing the Macintosh as the most powerful and easiest-to-use
Internet publishing server on the market."

In his new capacity at StarNine, Mr. Shotton will continue overseeing the
development of MacHTTP 3.0 technology which will be marketed as WebSTAR
and will be included in the forthcoming Internet Server Bundle from Apple
Computer. WebSTAR will be the first product in a line of Internet server
software. StarNine is currently beta testing a Listserver and
EMail-On-Demand server for Macintosh which will be marketed as ListSTAR
(formerly EMail-On-Demand) and will ship in the second quarter of '95.
OmniSTAR, a combined version of WebSTAR and ListSTAR with FTP and Gopher
servers also included will reach the market soon thereafter.
