ORACLE7 WORKGROUP SERVER AVAILABLE FOR SUNSOFT'S SOLARIS X86 SOFTWARE
ENVIRONMENT

Mountain View, Calif. -- April 3, 1995 -- SunSoft, Inc. today announced the
availability of Oracle Corporation's Oracle7 Workgroup Server for the
SunSoft Solaris x86 software environment. This powerful combination
revolutionizes the Microsoft Windows based PC LAN environment with the
industry leading enterprise class relational database and a proven 32-bit
operating system.

Oracle7 Workgroup Server, combined with Solaris x86 as an application
server, is a relational database management solution (RDBMS) designed to
take full advantage of the Solaris operating environment for x86 and
Pentium-class, low-end SMP hardware platforms. The new GUI-based database
and user administration tools allows the server to be administered with
minimal database skill.

This solution offers users the flexibility to develop and deploy Microsoft
Windows client applications in a PC LAN environment. These complementary
technologies provide one of the few solutions that can fully leverage the
advanced capabilities of today's systems ranging from laptops to
superservers, allowing applications to grow as business grows.

Microsoft Windows users, with minimal knowledge of Oracle7 or Solaris, now
can take advantage of the computing power, reliability, and security that
was previously confined to management information systems departments.

As a result, mission-critical applications can be deployed closer to key
users, making them more productive and enhancing decision-making
capabilities.

"The integration of these two products ensures our customers have access to
proven technology at all levels in their enterprise," said Joe Vassallo,
vice president, Oracle Corporation. "We have engineered, packaged and
priced this solution to address both the skill and economics of the
workgroup without compromising the proven technology base," he added.

Companies have been reluctantly relying on PC LANs to provide access to
mission-critical applications and data, but often that data is
inaccessible, decentrally managed, and not secure. In addition, many newly
available environments that are being scaled up from the desktop have
limited scalability, and therefore limited use in the workgroup. The
Oracle7 Workgroup Server, combined with Solaris x86 gives users an
application platform capable of providing the security, consolidated data
management, and performance required for running a business.

"Oracle7 Workgroup Server for Solaris x86 is a proven, powerful, scalable
database solution available for workgroup productivity and competitiveness
at PC prices," said Mary Anderson, senior director of corporate marketing
at SunSoft, Inc. "It's easy to install, use, maintain, and upgrade. For
the first time, it offers a robust solution for developing and deploying
mission-critical applications in a LAN environment."

This solution features Solaris x86 Database Installation Scripts for
automated installation. The server is pre-configured for LAN connectivity,
and offers a choice of networking protocols, TCP/IP, IPX/SPX or both. A
variety of the most popular Microsoft Windows- compatible development
tools are supported in this solution, including: Excel, Visual C++,
Paradox for Windows, Borland C++, Gupta SQL Windows, Visual Basic, Object
View, Oracle Designer/2000 and Developer/2000, Oracle Power Objects, dBase
for Windows, and PowerBuilder. It also gives users symmetric
multiprocessing, multithreading, and a 32-bit architecture for scalable
database performance.

The Oracle7 Workgroup Server for Solaris x86 is scheduled to be generally
available at the end of April 1995. Call 1-800-SUNSOFT, prompt 2, for
