Internal MultiModemPCS makes for cost-effective video conferencing.

Now the world's first SVD (Simultaneous Voice and Data) modem comes in an
internal version. The patent-pending MultiModemPCS -- now available in an
internal ISA bus design -- puts Multi-Tech Systems at the forefront of the
growing desktop video conferencing market.

Desktop video conferencing enlivens meetings and sales presentations by
transmitting video images, data, and voice over a single dial-up line. The
new internal MultiModemPCS, while providing the necessary 28.8K bps (V.34)
speed to accomplish this, also includes Multi-Tech's patent-pending "Talk
Anytime" feature, which allows users to talk to the person on the other
end of a modem link at the same time they are sending and/or receiving
data. "Talk Anytime" works with any communications software.

Also available with this new V.34 28.8K bps modem: a special SVD software
package. It makes the MultiModemPCS a multi-functional communications
system that can answer phone calls, determine whether the call is voice,
data, or fax, and automatically turn on the appropriate software to handle
the call. The package consists of MultiExpressPCS answering machine
software with the patent-pending VIRTUAL MODEM driver, MultiExpress fax
and data communications software and TALKShow document conferencing
software from FutureLabs of Los Altos, CA.

The new ISA bus design of the MultiModemPCS eliminates the need for high
speed serial ports on a PC, thereby reducing the overall cost of a desktop
video conferencing system. It's one of several
telecommuting/teleconferencing products described in a White Paper report
produced by Multi-Tech Systems.
